A few months ago I sold Warriors of Ankh Turkish language rights to publisher Marti Yayinlari! Still very much in the early stages but I'm looking forward to seeing the final product and am pretty excited that my novels will be sold in a foreign country :-)
I'll keep you updated as things progress.
I'd like to re-emphasise how happy I am as a self-published writer. The only reason I chose to sell in this case was because it was a Foreign Rights deal in a market that I otherwise had no reach in.
Anyhoo...

ReplyDelete@Rute. C - Thank you so much! I so appreciate it :-D x
ReplyDeleteWas there any particular reason why you decided to be self-published writer? What are the advantages of that for you?
ReplyDeleteJust curios :) Oh and if you've mentioned it somewhere before sorry for asking again.
I'm just reading Scorched Skies right now and of course I love it, it is the last book you have published that I haven't read so far. I must admit that I wasn't at first intrigued by the idea of Jinns, but I loved every single book of yours so I thought, it's gonna be surely good as well and once again you convinced me that you have brilliant mind with great stories in it and as long as you are gonna write books I'm gonna read them.
@Anya - Thank you so much! I'm so pleased I changed your mind about the Jinn! :-D
ReplyDeleteAs for why I chose to self-publish... For a number of reasons really. I have total control over the entire process - from how many books I can publish in a year, to choosing cover art and editors etc. But also because I can dedicate myself to writing full-time because the royalty rates are much higher self-publishing through amazon than they are with a traditional publisher. I wouldn't be able to write full-time if I was published traditionally... I'd need another job probably and I'd just resent any job that took me away from writing LOL! :-P
do you know - good for you, for seeing an opportunity and taking it
ReplyDelete@Nikki D - Thanks :-) x
