OK this is where there is particular beauty in being a self-published writer. I don't have agents and publishers breathing down my neck for deadlines... the only people I have to answer to is you guys - my wonderful readers. So, I'm on the fence folks. I'm getting the feeling many of you would like to see Borrowed Ember (Fire Spirits #3) released earlier than the scheduled and vague date of 'late summer 2012' but I know many of you have also been waiting for the second part in the Fade story to continue for a while now.
Sneak Thievery is scheduled for release May 11th 2012. HOWEVER, I've set up a poll on my sidebar asking you guys which novel you'd prefer to see released first. I'm giving the poll until March 27th. Whichever book has the most votes will get released first. READERS CHOICE BABY! :-)
So, spread the word guys and get voting!

I've chosen Borrowed Ember, though I'm a huge fan of both series! The reason is that Slumber is a complete story, and while I love the world and can't wait to read more about it, I'm content and have closure at the moment. The Fire Spirit series doesn't have that, I have a cliffhanger (a particularly good one by the way! Left me wanting more but not tearing my hair out, which is exactly how I like it!) and there's no ending yet! Just thought I'd throw out there why Borrowed Ember is winning, I'm positive it's not because there's no love for The Fade :)

I give myself these huge challenges and then freak out for a week before actually getting my head down and getting on with it. Also, remember I write full time. I don't have a job or a beautiful baby sister to take up my free time :-D x

ReplyDeleteI love both series, but I would have to say Borrowed Ember. The way Slumber ended doesn't leave me in desperate need of a sequel (though I'm really glad there is going to be one! I love the characters). But Scorched Skies ended so that there would be another book. I need to know what happens next. So, my vote is for Borrowed Embers.
