ReplyDeleteWow, thanks JL! Me too, I find the whole culture and mythology fascinating. Not a lot of good non-fiction books out there on the subject but I did come across one called Legends of the Fire Spirits by Robert Lebling and it was invaluable and actually really well-written and not boring for a non-fic.

That's one thing I'm enjoying about writing these new books about fae...lots of folklore to draw on, but when you dig into it, you find there aren't a lot of rules or anything! So, like jinn, it's familiar but there's all kinds of freedom as far as what you can do.
ReplyDeleteExactly, that's so true and something that I was hoping for when I first wondered into the world of Jinn. It's amazing what I picked up and how easily it could be moulded to my plot. Thank God
