Just a heads up to anyone considering the self-publishing road (and I've said this before) it's a lot of hard work and a lot of hours in the day disappearing, sometimes with little result and sometimes with great results. But if you're as serious as I am, it is worth it.
I got totally excited earlier on today because I was #917 on US kindle store and am a bestseller in two categories - fantasy and vampires. There was squealing. That might sound crazy but you have no idea how cool I find it to be in the top 1000. People are reading my books. And wait for it... liking them! :-) I'm in a dream.
OK, so good news!!! The paperbacks for The Tale of Lunarmorte are now available again on amazon.com, with the brand new cover art. It feels like a million years of waiting.
I know I promised in my vlog that I would be doing a giveaway to mark my 2000th sale but we're kinda past that now, and I'm still waiting on those copies... sooo... I will be hosting a giveaway to mark my 5000th sale and hopefully that will be next week or so. The giveaway will be international, still haven't worked out the other details but I will! And there will be a giveaway for Slumber and Drip Drop Teardrop, a Novella as well. I will also be holding a giveaway for a few lucky winners to receive an ARC of Blood Will Tell (Warriors of Ankh#1) with the proviso that the winners provide a review somewhere online, but again, I'll have this all worked out hopefully next week and I'll launch the giveaways SOON.
One last note... if you're a ya book blogger interested in reviewing any of my novels or even would like to host an author interview you can contact me at sam_young_scotland AT yahoo DOT com
At present I'm only able to provide ebook review copies.
Righto. Back to editing.
"Does she have a life?"
"No."
"So sad."
"I have a life! This is my life, baby!"

I love the new covers on the Lunarmorte series. They are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking about what you've said about struggling to find bloggers who will review for you. Have you ever tried contacting the bloggers who show an interest in the book through comments left on reviews by the bloggers who do review? I'm not sure how ethical that is, but like on my review of Moon Spell, a couple of bloggers showed an interest who I know from reading their blogs have ereaders.
Oooh thanks, Karen. That's a good idea. I'll have a wee scroll through :-)
ReplyDeleteCheers!
I LOVE the new cover art!!! I would love to interview again and spotlight the new covers. I love this series!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I've emailed ya about it :-)
ReplyDeleteOMG!! such gorgeous covers!! and well I'm not that BIG a book blogger but I do have a facebook page(not profile) in wich I write reviews as well as a blog here on blogger or tumblr...either way it'd be fun to review your books!^-^
ReplyDeleteI loved the "Lunarmorte" that was in the triology, the ORIGINAL one you wrote. I can quite honestly say I'm very disappointed to hear it's been changed. :( but oh well. I'll purchase the next two and attempt not to get confused. :/ love the book it was brilliant, but I really am very disappointed about the change. :)
ReplyDeleteOMG! Can you please please please PLEASE make a 4th book for The Tale of Lunarmorte! I just can't get enough of Lucien, Caia, Ryder, and Jaeden! D: Hopefully, you will in the near future!
ReplyDelete@Kris I'm so pleased you've enjoyed the books so much :-)
ReplyDeleteThere isn't going to be a part four but I'm releasing a spin-off series called Lunarmorte Repercussions in 2012. Caia and the gang may not be 'main' characters but they will be appearing in some of the books, and there will be more about their stories and how things are going for them. :-)
Yes! Thank you! I love the books too much that I'm rereading them again. lol I'll be looking forward for Lunarmorte Repercussions to come out! I also have a question. I was wonder if Lunarmorte will be actually sold on Amazon? Kindle edition to be specific.. because I can't find it at Barnes & Noble :(
ReplyDelete@ Kris You mean the original novel Lunamorte? I'm afraid not, the publishers only distribute it in the UK and its soon to be out of print in a few months I think. I'm so chuffed you're reading the trilogy. That's awesome :-)
